....So, my country is the most corrupt one on earth

was surfing the internet last night...and I saw sumtin dat baffled me. It says "Nigeria is the most corrupt country in the world". Nigeria was ranked #1 amongst other countries like Iran, Colombia, Pakistan, etc.

Ever since I was a kid, we all have bn praying for Nigeria + fighting against corruption (datz abt 15yrs ago)....but itz getting worst second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day.
Can we defeat corruption?

We watch on TV, listen on the radio, see on the internet, read on newspapers different news of Politicians stealing our money....millions...even billions of naira. Not only the politicians are involved but also the citizens, policemen, businessmen, MDs, Heads of dept....I cant just stop mentioning them. We all are corrupt. We keep on blaming our leaders for the downfall if dis country...the question is "What have u done to fight corruption?".

We can't fight corruption at the top without dealing with  the ones around us....the ones we see with our naked eyes....on the street...in our homes...in our places of work....in schools...even in the church. Yes! I said "Churches". Do u know dat we have corrupt members in churches. U're wondering how? God has instructed us to pay our tithes... 10% of our monthly salaries.... But no! We start to negotiate with God....datz when we remember we want to do one or two tinz with the money (God's money). OK! Enough of d preaching.

Well, I'm not dat kinda of dude dat loves politics alot (people like IBK. Dis guy can argue politics for Africa)...if not, I would have gone extra mile discussing about corruption.... Even mentioning some corrupt leaders in dis country. (Mouth sealed...make dem no kan arrest me.) Am still a small boi who wants to enjoy life to the fullest *tongue out*...I no get time for police and their wahala....Before they say one UnilagPwins got arrested for accusing sososo leader. Na dem sabi.

We all should join hands together to fight against corruption. Some people say it is not possible to kill corruption.... My brother it is very possible...if u believe and act towards ur belief.

Nigeria can be the best country (hmmm...big dreams). Trust me!

Sorry! if u were expecting a long post...I write as d spirit leads *winks*....see u ma next post.. #I'mOff

#ActTowardsUrBelief

Interesting tinz u need to know about Unilag babes & their hostel

I want to look for trouble ooo...I just pray I don't get attacked by doz Unilag babes *tongue out*

I came across this post online....and I've decided to share it here....Enjoy!

After reading you can agree or disagree with this school of thought. if you didn’t attend that school you cannot say for sure even though you might have heard hair rising stories concerning the subject matter….

According to iCampus: ”To fully understand UNILAG girls, you need to dig deep and know the hostel they reside in school."

There are different categories of babes in UNILAG base on their hostel.
A UNILAG babe in hostel A is distinctively different from the one in hostel B, the only two things most UNILAG babes have in common is love for money and love for chicken and chips.

There are seven female hostels in UNILAG namely: Moremi, Kofo, Madam Tinubu Hall (MTH), Honours, Makama, Fagunwa, Amina… So let’s begin with these categories.

Makama, MTH and Fagunwa Girls (SUYA GIRLS):
Makama chics: It is said that to get a girl from Makama, all you need is two hot meat pies, a chilled bottle of Fanta and she’s all yours. Please make sure the meat pies are hot and the Fanta is chilled, apparently they prefer it that way.
To get MTH and Fagunwa babes all you need is just N200 Suya and they are yours. If you’re buoyant, you can take it several notches up by buying them chicken Suya instead. things like that tickle their fancy.
These three hostels are situated close to each other inside New hall (UNILAG’s ghetto) thus making them neighbours. People say new hall girls don’t have class and some say they love to party hard ,some also say they are cheap but the truth is that they aren’t classy.
They never stay inside their hostels so it’s not unusual if you see them roaming around new hall looking for boys to buy them food .

Moremi Girls (Chicken, Chips and Nerd Girls):
To get audience with a Moremi babe you must submit a plate of chicken and chips before she’ll listen to you. It doesn’t necessarily mean that she will answer you it just simply means she’ll give you audience.
Moremi babes prefer older men with cars and they date guys with money and mostly club boys, but we have some good girls (nerds) amongst them.

Honours Girls (Boring Girls):
Australia is a country people know about but nobody visits, that’s exactly how Honours hall is. It’s situated in a bushy swampy area in the middle of nowhere so they barely get visitors. Surprisingly, the students’ week of Honours Hall is the best female hall week in UNILAG..

Amina Girls (Aristo Girls):
I’m pretty sure you have heard about aristo and runs-girls of UNILAG, well 70% of the aristo and runs-girl stay in Amina hall, situated at the gate area. The hall is the first point of call for the big Alhajis and chiefs; when they come to pick up girls, they quickly branch at Amina Hall, negotiate the price and leave with the girls to go and complete business outside school.
Amina hall has one mad kissing spot outside it just right in front of the Queen Amina statue.
That’s where you’ll find the broke boys without cars kissing their babes, it’s always a pleasant sight to watch.

Kofo hall:
Some Kofo girls are also into runs though theirs is coded and not rampant compared to other female hostels. Rumour has it that most Kofo girls are freshers who are mostly influenced by their opposite neighbour hostel, Amina Hall. Lots of fellowship activities often held in the hostel helps to keep the girls calm thereby reducing the wayward life style. When you ask guys about Kofo Hall some will say “they are just there”.

If u're a female student in Unilag and u're in one of doz hostels mentioned above, I'll like to hear from u...just say something..and for the guys, if u want to date any unilag babe, u can follow d list above and make ur decision ASAP...pick d ones u can afford. Gudluck in ur selection.... I signout.

Question of the day?

Came across this interesting story online...kindly read on.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone except her loving boyfriend who was always there for her. She said if she could see d world she’ll marry her boy friend. One day someone donated a pair of eyes to her and she could see everything including her boyfriend. The boy friend asked “you can now see the world will u marry me now? The girl was shocked to see her boy friend blind too and refused to marry him. Her boy friend went away in tears and later wrote a letter to her saying..“just take care of my eyes dear. I will always love you forever”.
THE QUESTION NOW IS…IF YOU WERE THE GIRL WOULD YOU MARRY HIM? and IF YOU WERE THE BOY WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Drop your answers below...

Examination is around the corner....

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! How time flies....when did we even resume to meet exam around the corner. Beautiful! This is to tell us that "Time no dey"..."no time to check time". We gat few weeks to prepare towards the forthcoming exam, which is the 1st exam of the session (of the year actually). Many students have been busy preparing (lyk us *winks*) while others are still having fun.....some still celebrating Valentine (I laugh in Spanish).

"Like play like play", after March we're entering into the season of exam, the season of seriousness....and dis is the period where;

1. Library go full: It's only before/during exam that u see students using the school library..true or true? True. Some don't even know where its located not until exam time. Lol.
That's when u now see the library looking like the brt bus stop in my area....some have not done their library registration....just try to check those u know that haven't done theirs, one/two wks to the exam come back and tell me d result.

2. Overnight reading starts: I don't even know where to start from...cos this is where u categorize 99% of the students on campus. It's like without overnight reading, u can't pass...and it's during the overnight reading u meet lots of people like;
A. The sleepers: I don't need to explain....
B. The toasters: these are people that came just to woo one/two girls. That's their mission.
C. The eaters/chewing gum babes: u'll see different kinda students eating "orisirisi" and the gals chewing gum, dsturbing d peace of d class. Nawa o.
D. The preachers: some came to preach the gospel...and u can't tell them to stop cos u no want fight with God...abi nah.
E. The TO & FROs: these people own is to move around the class. Go out & come in...they're just jobless.
F. If u have others, feel free to mention them below.

3. Tutorials go sell: the kind of customers these people with get ehn..."no be small. Who no go go tutorial when u no wan fail"
And some tutorial will also carryout their own overnight classes and set their own test/exams.

The thing is everybody wanna pass and come out with a good grade....not bad...but is it possible? Is it possible for a coffin to be sold without a dead body? Absolutely NO!
Some are going to fail while some will pass...some will be suspended while some will remain. Let's tell ourselves the truth. The only way to be among the successful ones is to do what? Start preparing now. Don't wait till March or month end. Procrastination is bad..... Do it now and know it now. Well...the ball is on ur court. Wish u success in every of ur endeavor.

Hope u enjoyed this....like i said, feel free to comment. Let's hear from u...
See u in ma next post. Don't forget to drop ur comments and share before leaving.

Thanks for reading...do have a great day.

Is this what you call "fun in the university?"

So, this is how it looked lyk...this is what people call "fun in the university". It seems to be the opposite to me. Did I just say me? I don't think I'm the only one facing these "wahalas". All freshers on campus can testify...cos, I'm sure every single 100level student has his/her own story to tell. C'mon! We're facing hell in here.

I was discussing with a 300level student yesterday... All he told me was "guy be patient, this is just the beginning of the journey". Wow! It was an interesting discussion tho....and u know what? He's a 1st class material. So, he dished out some of the things that helped him in his 1st and 2nd yr in school, how he was able to achieve his goals within those period.....that'll be a post for another day.

What the 100level students are experiencing is not funny at all. You'd be like "what the eff! should I even dropout or what? Ehn...did u just say dropout? You must be kidding....dropout in ur 1st yr in school? Uuurgh...

Or maybe we've not gotten used to the "University life" that's why we feel so stressed out doing anything in school. Lemme not even talk about the things we face when we're about to enter into the auditorium for lectures in the morning...Lol. I know a fresher will understand what I'm talking about.

Uuurgh....I'm tired & already feeling sleepy, today was a stressful one (as if other days have not been)...I need to go to bed now before I start to type dubisssh....yaaay! I've started already.

I just need to say goodbye here...see u in ma next post on..... Wait till then.

Xoxo (as if I even know d meaning).

30 Things To Do Before Turning 30 (By Emeh Achanga)

When we were younger, we had the world in our palms, time seemed to stop as we basked in the euphoria of our youthful exuberance..Then you see 30 approaching and the panic sets in(in most cases)..You start to evaluate your life, compare with others and the thirst to succeed sets in..

In my case,I had the hunger to succeed at the age of 25..I started panicking ..I realized what I wanted ,and that was to be independent ..Be my own boss..How I hated a 9-5..It just wasn't for me..So true to my wishes, I only got jobs which entailed me not being tied down in the office..I moved around alot..So I was opportune to see things from a different perspective.....

And I decided, nor matter how hard it maybe, I would be my own BOSS by 30..That's totally dependent on myself, answerable to me only..That was my vow..

Some of my friends then had different dreams..Some, to be married, others to go abroad, some,to have a good job and all..So, at 29, I complied a list of things I should have achieved by 30..Did I accomplish all? Well, not too sure..But.I think I did pretty good...

So, yesterday, I was clearing out my old books and found the list tucked inside a magazine.I was so amazed and decided to share my list and elaborate on them with you guys....Because I love writing, cramping the whole 30 would be a lot to read so I'm dividing it into three parts..This is part one..Feel free to agree or disagree with my first 10..

1. Fall in Love-

Everyone should have fallen in love atleast once in your 30 years of existence..It doesn't matter who you fall in love with..Just do it..Sadly, there are many who have never experienced love before..For me, have I experienced true love? You know when you get older, and look back on your life, you then realize what you thought was love may not really be love..But,the word love is relative..My definition of love may be different from yours..

2.Fallen in Lust-

You can only appreciate true love when you fall in lust with someone .A man or woman should be able to tell the difference between those butterflies in the stomach and deep rooted love which stems from companionship and mutual respect.Hell yeah! I've been in lust before..And I look back now and was like WTF..It's part of growing up..Now I'm glad I experienced that before 30..Because nor matter how tempted I am,I'm not a slave to lust anymore,.I know what I WANT!

3.Be a graduate(in what ever capacity)

By 30 you should be a university graduate,a professional school graduate or even a vocational school graduate..Knowledge is power and it gives you an edge..You don't have to go to an expensive school, you could even resort to online courses.

4.Have made atleast a million bucks

Yes..a million..It could be dollars or in naira..But in 30 years of existing you should have. Before you roll your eyes, this could be material or intellectual..Some have ideas worth millions. If translated into reality, they would be worth more than a million..So you should have that million naira idea by 30.. Actualized or not!

5.Given up procrastination

Agree or not, most of us are guilty of procrastinating..This is the act of postponing things for a later date..Oh,I'll do it tomorrow, I'll write that proposal next week..I personally suffer from this deadly trait ..I know what I would have achieved if not for constant procrastinating..By 30, procrastinating should be your full fledged enemy

6.Taken a vacation

Atleast once in your 30 years, you should have taken a vacation..This is time out to reflect, rest and indulge your senses..You can't keep on working non-stop, you are bound to break down ..You need time out to evaluate your life, set new goals and directions and appreciate the beauty of being alive..Sadly, I haven't done this yet..Each time I travel,I'm still surfing the internet, blogging..Oh well!

7.Discovered your passion-

Yes,everyone has something they are passionate about..A few lucky ones discover early and follow their passion while others discover late and in some cases, some never ever find their passion but become slaves to a life they never enjoy..What's that thing you would gladly do for free, without earning a dime but still keep doing it ?What's that thing you do naturally? effortlessly?Do you sing, write, paint, draw, or even just sleep? Lol yes sleep. You could make a living out of sleeping..Want to know how? You could learn how to make sleep a better experience..Invent better pillows, mattresses ? room lights? you get where i'm coming from?

8.Have a job

Yes, you should have a job..In this day and time when unemployment is on the rise, it may seem like an insensitive thing to say .Which brings us back to discovering your passion..There is no excuse for being jobless by 30..Do something, think outside the box..No one willing to give you a job? Not to worry,be your own BOSS..That's the easiest thing to be..And I don't mean boss on Linkedin where everyone is a CEO and you wonder where the unemployed people are..Don't be scared to take on the most menial jobs..

I worked for close to a year without pay..Yes, I offered to because I loved writing ..And I can't explain how much good that period of free work did to me and my growth..Be inspired..

9-Have that One Ridiculous dream(DREAM BIG)

Oh yes! We all have that dream which many laugh out loud at when we say it..Sometimes, we are so scared of eve mentioning it .I used to dream Leonardo Di Caprio would come look for me in Jos and tell me I'm his Kate Winslet ..I used to tell everyone,I would marry him..(Lol .)Imagine Rihanna now dating him. I'm sure she was once like me,a young unknown girl in Barbados crushing over him in Titanic..Moral of the story is,no dream is too big to be a reality..Away from that, I still dream of being a musician..winning a Grammy..yes,with this my chicken voice..Lol..What's that ridiculous dream of yours?

10.-Experienced heartbreak

Oh yes! How can you appreciate love and feelings if you haven't felt the pain of being heartbroken..Some get heartbroken so many times their heart and personalities have become damaged ..However by 30, you should have learnt how to handle heartbreak, suck in pain and move on. Because that's what life is all about..It's not all roses..There's thorns in there..You should have felt heartbreak, cried over someone, picked yourself up and moved on..That is the ultimate test of strength, resilience and success..How well you handle yourself after heartbreak(s) is an indication of how well you handle life's disappointments..That said..no one should have control over your life..The bad eggs have to go,for you to pave way for your prince charming or princess..

One heartbreak,2,3,4? never mind, keep moving..But if the heartbreak is too frequent, maybe you should check yourself, change something about you,or give yourself a break,..
However, most of my most creative moments have been born during moments of pain. Sometimes, I crave for it..Bad ,but I've mastered the art of channeling my disappointments into creative masterpieces..

You should have learnt that by 30...

Valentine Day: A serious msg to all freshers/staylites

Hello readers, how're y'all doing? Hope u've been having a nice time...and to all freshers, hope u've been enjoying ur stay on campus...well this message is so crucial to d freshers cos I know the staylites would have known their way. And we don't need to teach them how to manage their money with those Unilag babes..... 😉

OK. Without wasting much time, we all are anticipating towards Feb. 14th (Valentine day). A day of showing love to our friends and loved ones. Even before then, there wud be lots of events, shows, parries on campus and off campus. But here is d msg, DON'T BE LOST IN LOVE AND FUN. I know of people who have lost their lives on Valentine day. Some became extravagant, spendt money on their bae as if their father is the owner of World Bank...smh. And this is also the period where d ladies will collect lots of gifts and money from their various boos....we guys will now look like one fool to them..mtcheeew. And if someday dinno take them out, they'll think u're not serious with them, that u don't love them....don't mind them ooo. If u think u cannot take ur bar out for Val., pls tell her, make her aware now before its too late. And if u can't tell her, maybe bcos of how she'll react or u're shy, then look 4 a scope to break up with her. Yes, I said "break up"...not permanently ooo. Maybe after Valentine, u can now beg her to 4give u 😛.

And to d ladies, if u're in a relationship, try to understand.... No money 4 9ja (recession tinz). Try and manage with ur boo. Accept wateva he gives u. If its a peck or kiss for Valentine, no problem.

And to them Moremi, Makama, Tinubu, Amina babes if he decides to take u to Mavise or Cafe 2001, pls bear wit him. So, u think I'll mention Salado..... Never!!! (U wan wreck ur boo?). Pls, we're trying to economize tinz here. Whereas he decides to take u to lagoon front, I tink it's better....he won't even spend more than #300 on u. Soft drink= #120, 2 snacks= #100. That's #220. There's even #80 change 😉. Hmmm...u can dah one to buy table water (not even pure water dis time.....). It's not our fault oooo. Na recession cause am.

One more tin, if u're suspecting that ur boo is trying to break up with u, u don't need to b surprise. He's trying to save himself from spending on Valentine day. He still loves u. U just need to b patient with him. If he truely loves u, u'll see dat towards the month end, he'll come begging u,.....and pls 4give him. 😉

Like I said, don't be lost in love and fun on dat day.....and 4 u guys that re forming big boy (OBO), God will catch u on Feb. 14th. Pray u don't jam one Igbo gal 4rm Moremi hall or else..........u know nah.

Enjoy ur Valentine Day.....play safe, be smart and to d guys "be like Arsene Wenger".....Happy Val in advance.... Don't 4get to share and drop ur comments before leaving. See ya in ma nxt post.
